Daniela Hernandez is a marketing and project manager at Spark. She helps facilitate projects through managing planning and execution, marketing, handling logistics, organizing, research, and community engagement in a variety of setting. Daniela has over ten years of experience as a project manager working with diverse communities through planning and facilitation of community events, meetings, focus groups, interviews, as well as meeting language needs in the community. She has worked on a range of issues covering health disparities, education, community development, childhood obesity, water conservation, juvenile justice, opportunity youth, environmental resiliency, and emergency preparedness.
Prior to joining Spark, Daniela worked with nonprofits, governmental agencies, and businesses, coordinating various multi-million social marketing campaigns, from proposal to evaluation, using marketing for social good. As a legislative intern at the Colorado State Capitol, she gained valuable experience and insight into the legislative process and working with legislators and the community. She also worked with the interpreting and translation community in the Denver Metro area by recruiting qualified interpreters and translators, to coordinating services for victims of crime, helping parents at schools communicate better with teachers and administrators, coordinating translation of required immigration documents, and helping businesses market their products in the Spanish language.
Daniela holds a Master’s in Social Science with a focus in International Studies from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a Bachelor’s in International Affairs with a focus on Latin America from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a native Spanish language speaker and is a Colorado Notary.
Outside of Spark, Daniela enjoys gardening, bike riding, crafting, puzzles, traveling, game nights, and spending time with family and friends.
